EINSA EDA-18425 Self-Propelled Passenger Stair – Versatile Access for Narrow- to Medium-Body Aircraft

The EINSA EDA-18425 is a self-propelled passenger stair designed to facilitate boarding and disembarking for aircraft with sill heights ranging from 1.8 to 4.25 meters. This versatility makes it suitable for various aircraft types, including commuter models like the BAE 146/AVRO RJ, as well as larger aircraft such as the A320 and B757.

Key Features:

Height Range: 1.8 m to 4.25 m

Engine: 3-cylinder water-cooled diesel engine (Perkins)

Transmission: Hydrostatic with hydraulic steering

Access Platform Width: 3.0 m

Stairway: Extra-wide steps accommodating two passengers with hand luggage side by side

Side Panels: Innovative articulated sliding panels that conform to the aircraft fuselage, minimizing gaps and preventing damage

Safety Features: White rubber bumpers on contact areas to prevent aircraft staining

Maintenance: Sliding engine compartment for easy access to key components

Compliance: Meets EN-12312-1 standards

Special articulated side panels allow unobstructed opening / closing of aircraft door and virtually follow the curvature of the A/C fuselage without exerting any force and thereby avoiding damage to the aircraft. All areas coming into contact with the aircraft are white rubber protected to prevent staining fuselage.

The sliding engine compartment located in the central part of the chassis, is spacious and provides excellent accessibility for engine and other components for repair and maintenance. It houses the diesel engine, the main hydraulic automotive, anti-stall pump for traction, gear pump for services, batteries, exhaust, etc.

With its robust design and adaptable features, the EINSA EDA-18425 ensures safe and efficient passenger access across a range of aircraft types.
