Pushback tractor for narrow- and medium-body aircraft

The Kalmar Motor AB FB250 conventional tractror has been designed for pushback, inter-gate towing and lighter to medium weight maintenance towing operations, with aircraft weights up to 230 tonnes. The FB250 is available in a choice of weights from weights from 15,000 kgs upto 25,000** kgs.

Featuring hydraulic suspension for the front axle, plus a unique gas-hydraulic suspension system on the operators cabin providing exceptional driver comfort. For added safety, the rear axle has centralised lock-outs and an auto-correct feature when operationing in four wheel or crab wheel co-ordinated steering modes.

Together with the simplicity of design and latest technological innovation the FB250 produces safety enhanced high quality performance.

Very comfortable and easy to handle with a good all round visibility. Steering on all four wheels gives outstanding manoeuvrability in narrow spaces.

Kalmar Motor AB’s design of gas- hydraulic suspension provides passenger car type cabin comfort. Full suspension on all wheels and cabin.

Cabin/drivers environment

Cabin of ergonomic design and with ample space for the driver. The turnable driving console makes driving in both directions easy without the need to alter the tow bar position. Elevating cabin gives excellent visual contact with both tow pintles.

We use the same cabin and control layout on all vehicles, keeping training to a minimum.
